Here is a jolly picture of the Doge Meme variety to make you feel a little better.
Now that you have gazed into those liquid eyes and are feeling much more cheer, I can talk about something I think is kind of important. People can tend to go on about this a bit around this time of year, but I am a big fan of shopping local where possible. I figure if I spend my money with the nice guy or gal who owns the shop down the road, then not only will I get my friends and family cool gifts but that little shop owner will have a happier Christmas too. And then, maybe next year that little shop owner can go on holidays to some far flung place and do a little un-local shopping, which is what I want to do next Christmas.
Maybe (most probably) I am over romanticizing it, but I would love to have a white Christmas. I'm hoping, with all my fingers and toes crossed, that next year I will be in New York for Christmas. A little while ago I styled a still shoot and my inspiration was Christmas in New York. I thought I would share those pictures.
I sculpted the wire representation of New York's skyline you can see in the back ground my self. It took some time, and my hands were sore and covered in spray paint by the time I was done, but I was quite please with the result. The sculpture has taken up residence in the disused fireplace in my lounge room.
Hope you like my pictures, tell me what you think!
What would be your favorite Christmas holiday destination?
Have a safe and fun filled silly season, and I hope Santa brings you something nice.
